I felt my 4-5-1 bpl side was too attacking, too direct so I built a serie a budget 4-3-2-1 side:

Handanovic

Konko-gamberini-ogbonna-oberno

Asamoah-Vidal-marchisio

Palacio/bianiany-giovinco

Matri/miccoli

First game I come up against some butt nugget with 5 at the back. Got ruined on the counter. Very impressed with the passing range of the midfield and matri's shooting. Palio seemed ok but giovinco seems to have nothing but speed. Any1 reccomend any changes that won't break the bank? Just signed Gomez lf thinking of buying tevez so:-

Gomez-palacio

Tevez

Could be an option
 
I actually really liekd Giovinco, good passer, good shooting when he's in range, not much of a long shot, but looks like you have made your mind up to not use him :D
 
Erik Lamela at RF, left footed, 5 start skills, i actually picked him up for 750 coins yesterday! Bargain! Robinho at LF. Always use these in my Serie A teams :D never let me down. IF El Shaarawy is another option for LW/LF but is a lot more expensive.

My team is

Guarin - Nocerino - Vidal

Palacio ---------- Giovinco

-------- Muriel

Giovinco's pace comes in useful when crossing, he usually runs into the flight of the ball, Guarin is a beast don't let his rating fool you, Nocerino is the most rounded midfielder in Serie A and Vidal just seems to intercept everything.


Also Tim, i'm not really liking the lack of pace on Villa, he just seems to be a long shot specialist and would have been much better as a ST or CF in the game. Going to try out Pedro and if he doesn't perform, I'll get Tello and upgrade Callejon to Torres

Depends what you're after - from the looks of your midfield, they'll all be breaking forward. Perhaps change Marchisio and Asamoah for De Rossi and Pirlo? De Rossi will break up play, Vidal will get forward, and Pirlo's passing is just insane.

Do you want your full backs getting forward? If not, change them out for Caceres and De Ceglie.

Have a look at Jovetic up front. I've got him playing with Matri, and he's the better of the two at bringing others into play.
 
Sonny, you could try taking the chemistry hit & playing Villa ST, Pedro LF, Villa would have 5 6 links from Pedro & Navas and should be fine, try him out there? his chemsitry really won't be what it seems, trust me :)
 
Will EA ever release packs that include only players???

I'm sick and tired of splurging 300 points on the jumbo packs and the guaranteed rare's are contracts (which I already have coming out of my ears) and other useless consumable and club items!?!?! :mad:

They did that last year but the price was stupidly expensive and never worked out well.

Erm..... I do (obviously) but since I don't have the time or inclination to sit, study and exploit the auctions to make enough coins to buy the top players, the best chance (depressingly :p) that I have of getting the Messi's and Ronaldo's of this world are in packs!

What I'm sick of is getting no rare players but rather 3 "rare" contract cards that I can afford in the auctions for a couple of hundred coins!

Just about my entire squad have 70+ contracts - I DON'T NEED ANY MORE!!!!!!!! :D

I haven't ruled him out completely yet. Tbf I was playing against a team with 5 at the back. Disgusting formation disgusting team, he actually had al habsi in net and Milner at cb. Giovinco kept getting nailed by luiz.

Will give lamah a bash. I did want pirlo in the middle really but can't afford him yet. Vidal does well enough sitting in the middle although he seems to get booked every game. Marchisio is a beast. I'm not sold on micolli yet, any1 tried him RF? will give jovetic a bash
 
Managed a 5-5 draw earlier, i went 4-1 down to 3 crosses from the flank and a headed goal from a corner, then went 5-4 up with some nice passing play and a couple of breakaway goals taking advantage of my opponent I assume going all out attack after half time, then he pulled it back to 5-5. I was annoyed.
 
I want to cry..

Loaded up Fifa 12 as I remember I had spare coins on there, decided to go on a pack binge... 2nd pack Neymar, 3rd pack Messi, this should have been on 13!!! :(
