Is the HIS 7950 IceQ Boost the best out of the 7950's?

I think I pretty much have my heart set on one, but they are slightly more expensive.

Its the best for price - performance + the cooler on them is outstanding, pushing all that hot air out your case instead of these 2 and 3 fan cooler cards that push the hot air all over the hardware in your case. i know what i picked ;D

and for crossfire its a must, dont get me wrong the 2 and 3 card coolers are great if your not running crossfire but the boost is still the better investment for cooling.

I'm not able to say if its the best, not used any other card, but I originally had a 5670 his card, and was very pleased - no issues and it was kept cool and overclocked rather well for what it was, so I decided to go for a 7950 Iceq boost for my upgrade, cooler is great, no issues on the, great cooler and a reasonable overclock...also got a lock of games free when I got it so whup.
Very pleased by the card and have no negatives to say about it :)

Can't say it's the best because I haven't used them all but I am very pleased with my card. I've been playing Far Cry 3 a lot lately and after some tweaking of the settings (4 MSAA, medium post processing, everything else at max) I'm running around at 45fps minimum. While doing that (100% GPU load) the card barely hits 60C and 40% fan usage (so not too loud) and because the heat is pushed out the back my CPU is maxing at 44C. I tried clocking it to 1100MHz (probably would have gone higher, I didn't try) with the included software without any problems but ended up going back to default because I wasn't really noticing the difference in game.

I would say the IceQ Boost and the Gigabyte WF3 are about equal though very different in the way they cool. Depends on your needs and how your case is for cooling. I have good cooling in my case(nothing fancy just good airflow which anyone can easily achieve) and as a result my card idles at 26c (current) and maxes at 63\64c vrms 73\74c. So the WF3 7950 can match the IceQ Boost temps even though the hot air is in the case. Where the WF3 wins in my opinion is the 3yr warranty with UK RMA (possible 2 day rma) whereas the HIS warranty is 2yrs and an RMA (through Ocuk I believe) to Asia (possible 4 weeks ). :)

ive just received mine in the post but is an xmas pressie and at £239 i thought it was a good deal . does anyone know what these cards max out at

cheers

you can get up to around 1100 and 1500 sometimes more if you play, but with CCC I'm running 1020 and 1450 with just the power control settings at 20%. I couldn't get it stable at higher values (not messed with voltages), but now its fine.
