Pothole Grrr

After heavy rain last night, a portion of road has lifted the surface and left a deepish pothole. I ran into it at about 30mph and now have a nice bulge on the tyre wall. Pity about the 6mm of remaining tread though as it will need replacing.

They really should resurface rather than random patching.

It would be nice to resurface, but I don't think there is budget for it.

Only if they have previously identified it as been a pothole i believe?, which i believe means it has to have a yellow circle painted round it..

Only if it has allready been reported.
People need to report it on here http://www.fillthathole.org.uk/ not only will it be fixed, if it hasn't been fixed its easy for people to see if it has been reported and to make a claim.

Hopefully for you it has been reported already, get some photos taken with a ruler to show depth of the hole etc. I had a successful claim with the council a few years ago and they covered the repair costs.

Report everything you see, when it's got a white edged box around it that's when you can try to claim for any damage caused.

Down here, they put a layer over the top so as soon as something heavy goes over it, back to square one lol.

The rain today brought up a big one I couldn't see today, makes me cringe when i hit them.

Try my absolute best to avoid them but everytime they 'repair' it it just crumbles.
