MILLIONAIRE Tory Cabinet minister refers to police as " plebs " - Police fabricate evidence

So corruption is endemic, estebanrey ?

In answer to your cop out suggestion, I assure you that's not the case.

From the mouths of several police officers I know, I'd say yes it is. They seem to think they are a law unto themselves.
It may only be minor to a low officer such as my friends but I can only imagine if they're ******* about on the job their bosses are worse.

Andrew Mitchell shouted and swore at officers and he has admitted this. I don't see how he could return to frontline politics. The pleb word matters little.

The word pleb means everything when supposedly uttered by a Tory to one of the as portrayed little people by our nutter left wing press.

Whilst a failure to actually confirm and repeate what one has said speaks volumes more (if this is still the case?).

From the mouth of someone who's done it for nearly 13 years, no it isn't.

Haven't read thread but this story is crazy I can't believe the 30 officers working on plebgate hadn't even noticed that a witness wasn't in there!

Wow.

My eyes are only really being opened to the amount of crap officers take on a daily basis and the fact that every officer I've ever known has always put the public or suspect first to respect their rights.

Its only.when you hear comments about the fact the police are corrupt or lolhurfdurf says above that he was helped out immensely by the police yet posts that all coppers are *******s that it really makes you think "**** it, you wait until you need the police in that moment of complete and utter panic then we'll see".

If your defence was no NIP then I am not surprised it failed. NIP's only need to be given through the post where the accused (you in this case) has not been given a Section 1 notice (Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988) already. This is normally in the case of cameras etc i.e. where the driver has not been stopped and spoken to by police officers themselves.

See Section 1(a) here which would be relevant to yourself - http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/53/section/1

The fact they stopped you and told you that you may be prosecuted is sufficient to fufil the Section 1 notice i.e. a "verbal" NIP if you will.

Ok so they told me they could not give me a ticket when they stopped me since they did not know the speed limit ( these were traffic officers ) . They radioed through to HQ to ask and they did not know either- my point being 2 fold here .

1. How could they have told me a prosecution was going to take place if they did not know what offence has been comitted ? I was either 3MPH over the speed limit or 13 MPH over . If they decided to prosecute on either offence do they not have 14 days to notify me in writing ? No verbal NIP was given in my view at all .

2. Very simply the radio records I requested would have corroborated what I stated above and the case would never have seen the light of day , two police officers lied in the dock and I could have had them bang to rights. They both denied any record of that radio call being made .

As I stated I enquired about an appeal but the hassle and money it would have cost did not outweigh the fine , costs and points I recieved.

As I have stated either way I'm not fussed now , I understand the judicial system has to be Pro -Police for obvious reasons but I was merely pointing out the police lie under oath and I have had first hand experience of it .

If any officers want to open up the case and prove me wrong by playing the Storm radio records of December 2002 them please get in contact.

You will never stamp out corruption fully where trust is placed in people and I've had the unpleasant experience if seeing a colleague convicted of corruption who I used to crew the panda with. He escaped a prison sentence by a sliver.

I have been on searches where I'm alone in a room and found thousands un notes. Easy to slip a wad in the pocket but I wouldn't and I'm not after medals and applause for that. It's simply the right thing to do.

I've been in court many times but why would I lie to get a result ? Why in the blue **** would i lie in a statement - pervert the course of justice, lie under oath - perjury -, and risk keeping my liberty, roof over the family's head, bring utter shame to my better half and kids and so on ? Why ? I'm far from alone in that ethos and firmly believe bent cops to be **** on the shoe who should be weeded out.

I've been spat on, kicked, punched, knife pulled on me, threatened to be killed and that's water under the bridge but what does rile me are the comments that reckon corruption is endemic and it's usually based on the DM write ups, a single experience or from a mate of a mate of a cousin who knows a postman who knows a copper. It's offensive and generalising not to mention untrue.

I wonder how the majority on these forums would feel if they were judged by a few posts of a minority? We have had posters on here, and will have in the future, that most of would want no association with. We may not always agree but on the whole we are a decent bunch who occasionally rant but when called upon always seem to help each other with friendly and good advice. The minority does not change or detract from the whole. There's always going to be bent coppers doesn't make the whole force corrupt. I've seen some great work by the police over the years and some pretty shameful stuff to but on the whole they are a force (no pun intended) for the good.

Mitchell is still a **** mind.

He admitted saying ONE swear word. Pleb matters a lot - it was the entire focus of the media scrum which caused his resignation.

Yup agreed, the word was all that mattered due to the connotations it has when said by a posh MP, anyone who can't see that is being a little dense.

Yes, he swore at police, and that's not great, but he's a human being. The point was that the entire issue was over the word "pleb", not merely him swearing at police.

Holy thread resssurection batman!

IPCC have jumped on the police federation representing the three officers
''The police watchdog has questioned the "honesty and integrity" of Police Federation officers who met Andrew Mitchell over the plebgate row.''
Pound of flesh incoming for Mitchell, with a way back into government?

I admire your convictions and honest steadfastness. We've a few cops in our family. I thought about Police work as a career myself.

May I ask your opinions on the Hillsborough revelations? Which do rather seem juxtaposed to your assertions about the endemic nature of police corruption. Especially regarding witness statements and falsifying evidence.

Police federation have come out fighting, and do not seem impressed with the IPCC at all!
What an absolute shower, and hardly inspiring to the general public.
