Well I said I'd apologise...

Yes and that I think has already begun.

This great change could in fact be your own personal growth.

The fact that you have apologised and accept that nothing has happened today could mean that you start to realise that conspiracy theories are at best delusional and that you want nothing more to do with them.

You then relay this information to your CT buddies and one by one, they awaken from the darkness and see reality for what it is.

We can but hope eh? :)

It will only be a few days then someone will "work it out" as a different day, then all the nut jobs will start it all up again.

Hows the 21st August 2013 for people?

However kudos for admitting you were wrong.

Could we not do it on the 22nd as I need to be somewhere on the 21st.

Erm... treating someone differently (or being mean to them in this case) for their beliefs- violates Equal Treatment Directive (which applies to us).

Didn't want to start banging on that drum (and I'm not) but just don't like seeing someone getting flamed for being big enough to admit their wrongs.

I doubt that believing in interdimensional reptilian overlords is covered by that.

I still believe in the illuminati, 9/11, ufos and reptillians. However I have questioned myself this morning about why so many people have got it wrong about 2012.

But these two highlighted are incidents with history that is documented, facts behind them, ties into areas of society etc.

Whether people believe them or not, they cannot be classed in the same category as reptillians and end of the world predictions - or do you just hear a conspiracy theory and add it to your list of beliefs?

9/11 actually happened, I believe it.

Illuminati actually existed, this again I believe. Based on what I have read it was a necessity for scientists of old to go underground because of the things they were studying, the church saw them as heretics.

The rest of it..........I saw Gordon Gecko in a film once, does that count?

At least he's apologised and I actually enjoy Magicks threads. It's fun to get another take on stuff and frankly beats the hell out of the "spec me a cheese sandwich/my girlfriend wants to sleep with her old boyfriend on Fridays, should I still ask her to marry me" threads.

One way to look at it is this Magick. You could have been right, however if some possible theories of quantum reality are to be believed, all possibilities happen. You just happened to be in one where the world didn't end, because if it had, you wouldn't be able to post your apology anyway. Basically you could only ever be wrong, or dead. :D

That said, I'd stop caring about all this crap and look at the much smaller things in life. Helping people and enjoying yourself.
Happy Holidays.

To be honest, seeing s I've avoided the 'End of the World' thread, I can't comment hugely.

That said, seeing as your beliefs have been proven wrong, and you've got the guts to say you were wrong, that requires at least reasonably sized balls. Plenty of people would just sulk away, and not be able to admit defeat.

Differently?

I'm not being mean, not even slightly. I'm attempting to do him a service.

violates Equal Treatment Directive (which applies to us).

Applies to whom?

Didn't want to start banging on that drum (and I'm not) but just don't like seeing someone getting flamed for being big enough to admit their wrongs.

He's not being flamed for admitting his wrongs. He hasn't even been flamed, but he needs to be.

Unfortunately it is. Remember when Scientology became classed as religion and not a sect (there was a kerfuffle in the ECHR over it).

Believing in interdimensional reptilian overlords doesn't constitute religion though.

All the space warlord stuff, scientology publicly denies as well so can't be counted as part of their belief system to a legal extent.
