Stella makes people aggressive?

It's the same thing that gets people drunk on non-alcoholic drinks when they think they're drinking alcohol.

Chemicals and arse is a good blanket statement too. It's all about the "acquired" taste, or as known as "forcing yourself to like something because it's what you do".

Not anymore, the jessys reduced the percentage from 5.2%, down to 5.0%, then down to 4.8%. It's not even premium anymore. Give me a Tyskie over a Stella anyday.

It's total nonsense.

Stella just had a very high alcohol percentage, which made people drunk more quickly. Alcohol just lowers inhibitions and anyone who has aggressive tendencies likely feels less restraint about what they are doing. This is why fights break out in any busy town centre of drunks every weekend.

As MeatSack says though, they have dropped the percentage now.
From what I recall from the last thread on this, its mainly because of tax reasons to do with certain percentages. Also, I think they wanted to shun the image of it being 'wife beater'.

From the best of my knowledge the reason Stella has more of an impact on people is due to a chemical they use in it to make it take longer to go flat.

It's all in the mind.

Alcohol doesn't make people aggressive, it's the thought of "If I drink this I will become aggressive" then proceed to drink it, which makes people turn.

Yes saw a program that said exactly this.

Alcohol and aggressiveness and stupidity and typical examples of learn't behaviour.

They proved it by giving people what they thought was alcohol, who then proceeded to act drunk and become violent.

Only complete and utter clowns get aggressive, confrontational or in any form try to impact someone else's night out for their own entertainment or self satisfaction. They're usually the guys with "big man in a crowd" syndrome as well.

Women are starting to get that way too, vile cretins.

I've definitely found that different types and brands of alcohol can have differing effects on my drunkeness.

Stella and brandy make me way more lairy than other things, so I avoid them.
Tequila gives a unique 'awake' type of drunk, full of energy with less slurring and swaying.
Ciders make my brain very cloudy.

Tastes pretty bad in the UK compared to their tasting room at the factory in Belgium.

Brewed under license here, I think it used to be at Carlsberg brewery near me so its going to taste different.

Does stella cause aggression? No its no worse than any other alcohol, probaly got this myth from the people that tend to drink it, or most lagers for that matter
