Trying to make him understand that just because something has a tag of Conspiracy Theory doesn't mean he has to believe it.
I was using that as an example to illustrate a point.
One way to look at it is this Magick. You could have been right, however if some possible theories of quantum reality are to be believed, all possibilities happen. You just happened to be in one where the world didn't end, because if it had, you wouldn't be able to post your apology anyway. Basically you could only ever be wrong, or dead.
That said, I'd stop caring about all this crap and look at the much smaller things in life. Helping people and enjoying yourself.

There's a theory that says consciousness is like quantum computing so if you die in any reality you always end up in the one where you survive, this could mean we're actually immortal!
Magick should realise by now that the world is pretty mundane, most stuff has a rational explanation but it's still quite possible for a lot of conspiracy's and weird stuff to be real, just not in the complex and over the top ways some believe, there are shady goings on, corruption, groups out for their own selfish ends, aliens are highly likely but unlikely to have visited, there may be a god or afterlife in some form but it's unlikely, it's always a good idea not to concern yourself too much with this stuff until it's proven, especially as you can't do much about it anyway.

Just thinking about this.....Magicks whole world must be falling apart right now.
The past so many years his life has been building up to this moment...this very moment, it was either going to be a glorious death with millions screaming ' you were right magick as they died' or new found powers which would have made him so much more than just human.
Can you imagine the devastation he must be feeling right now ?....years and years of waiting over the lie he got told by that one alien that visited him one night and abused him.

I get how people get confused with the whole "would have/would've" and its variants, but "seemed to off"? You must be doing this to wind people up, surely?!
It hasn't though, as it hasn't shaken his belief one little bit, he still believes in all this crazy stuff. He still holds onto all his old beliefs.
