Lumia 920 available at EE stores for £329 with free charger

The UK's first network operator to offer 4G, as well as being the exclusive partner for the Lumia 920 is currently offering the Windows Phone for a discounted price when purchased on PAYG (Pay As You Go). EE has been the only operator in the UK to offer the Lumia 920 since the Windows Phone 8 device was launched two months ago.

Restricted to EE, Orange, T-Mobile and reportedly Virgin Mobile, consumers who opt to purchase the Lumia 920 locked to EE will be able to pick one up for just £329. That's over £200 cheaper than unlocked pricing. Unfortunately the Windows Phone will be locked to EE, which is currently going through teething while customers (and potential subscribers) are left baffled by numerous issues.

Ranging from a poorly constructed website to obscene pricing and poor service, EE hasn't had the easiest of transitions when taking up T-Mobile and Orange, wrapping both together with its new 4G service. When browsing the EE website it's not apparent that the Lumia 920 is a hero device for the operator with the exclusivity deal that's currently still in force with Nokia. We're not seeing a strong Windows Phone push.

For £329, the Lumia 920 is a bargain - regardless what network the device is locked to. Sporting an 8.7MP Nokia PureView camera (with a 1.2MP front-facing shooter), a 4.5'' 1280 x 768 IPS display, dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4, 1GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, 2000mAh battery, wireless charging, it's definitely worth the price tag - especially since a free wireless charger is involved.

Vodafone has announced plans to stock the Lumia 920 in early 2013, while Three UK has revealed on Twitter that the company wants to take up Nokia's flagship Windows Phone. We expect other UK operators to follow suit, competing with EE on the 4G LTE battleground. Should you be looking forward to investing in the latest hardware from Nokia and aren't in a hurry, be sure to keep an eye out for deals that will be available with carriers.

Check your local EE store for more information on the deal.

Spotify are currently working on the WP8 app according to this source > Link

Shame they didn't work on it properly when I was on 7.5... That app was a shambles and thus I got a Zune sub only to find it's better. Now just need Xbox Music to cloud my music and I'm sorted.

My local EE stores outright refused to sell me one last Friday saying the 920 doesn't exist on Pay and Go.

Going to try these 2 as well :)

£2.29 for Z0mb1es.... Worth it? Don't usually pay that much for games.

Play the trial, decide from that.

I enjoyed it, downloaded it and there was even more like Time Viking - another manic shooter with amazingly funky music.

Weather Flow died and stopped updating itself, unsurprisingly my battery life became awesome again. :/

I really like weather flow, but as it's unstable and kills the battery it's probably going to get deleted.

interesting annoucement from EE about the PAYG deal... but not easy to get it unlocked.
well, i paid £520 from clove to get my RED and having it unlocked from the source already. maybe excessive but worth it for me....

An early Christmas present to yourself. The world rejoices :D
Did you get the 20% off deal as well?

I didn't buy the handset out right, because of the usage I need in a tariff a sim only plan would not have worked out cheaper in this instance, plus they gave me discount anyway :)

As I've been with T-Mobile for 7+ years they allowed me the £36pm full monty plan for £32pm and only charged me £30 for the handset, they did also give me 2 x PAYG Sim cards with £10 credit on for whatever use I can think of along with a free wireless charging brick/block.

Overall, I'm very pleased :p :D

I've barely used the phone so far but I did manage to get all my contracts across easily, it connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth and just yanked them across :D

I need to setup a microsoft account today and get some apps installed that I'm going to need. But I must say I'm LOVING the OS so far.

Also, save me trawling through a million pages, is there anyway I can get the battery percentage to display up the top or on the lock screen? :)

Thanks,
Jake

Sounds about right for EE. Three, O2 and Vodafone are due to stock the 920 in the new year, so hopefully more people can avoid them.....
