I want 16GB of RAM

Which 2x8GB kit of RAM would you guys recommend? I won't be overclocking like mad on the memory, I just want something that will play nice with a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H Socket 1155.

I paid £30 for 16GB of 1600mhz ram last Saturday in-store. Yes I did buy two lots of the 2x4GB kits but that is only because my motherboard will not accept 8GB sticks. The 2x8GB sets were £30 too.
I would wait for a deal to come up before spending £60+ on 16GB ram.

You could be waiting weeks or months. RAM prices have been and always will be volatile, it's the only component that I will willingly take an accepted loss for.

RAM is the silicon equivalent of commodities like oil. My policy, if you need it buy it, if you don't need it but prices are rock bottom buy some anyway - you won't regret it ;)

So very true, it's at the stage where my suppliers at work will only honor RAM quotes for 24 hours due to the volatile pricing. Just anoying when our procurement process sometimes takes longer than this to get a purchase order signed off, the price changes and round we go again :(
