Steam Christmas Sale 2012

Tried to buy the Super Street Fighter IV complete costume pack, got this:

Your purchase could not be completed because it looks like you already own one of the games you are trying to buy. Please check your account and your cart to verify you are buying an item you do not already own.

Didn't even realise I owned all the costumes ever since I first got the game, *facepalm*.

Truly epic.

Nothing special come up again today, only thing I've bought so far is Universe Sandbox @ £1.74. Will be getting the SimBin pack on last day if there are no further discounts on them in the meantime. Bit annoying that the number of daily deals has dropped to 6 compared to 9 in recent sales. To be fair to Valve at least the offers are a bit more varied in terms of throwing in some indie titles but personally what I'd like to see is some heavy discounts (70%+) on older games that rarely get severely discounted.

Bethesda collection is fairly good value for money, get dishonored, skyrim, pretty much all the id back catalog (all quakes, etc.) including RAGE and Doom 3 BFG edition, etc. for £65. (Obviously not so good value if you already own some of those games).

Me and my mate got a good 23 hours out of saints row, was pretty fun! not much to do once its complete though......

Is Saint Row 3 with all DLC's worth it for £6? My mate said it's really short though...

Definitely, I logged 20+ hours on it on steam without the dlc stuff and there's a lot of fun to be had. I didn't like either of the other games but SR3 has some terrific characters and set pieces, for that price it's a steal.

Still waiting for a decent Fallout 3 or NV price. Will defo be buying the walking dead.

Think the walking dead, dragon age ultimate collection and the first portal game will be my first purchases of the sale!

I know. :( I actually can't afford to carry on doing this but I will, these sales are horrible for those of us who see a reduction on price on something we'd probably never want, a can't resist it. :(

Gonna go cold turkey, it's the only way.

ROFL me too, i spent around £90 over the last few on games and accessories, i havent even played anything to date. Gotta go cold turkey as well.
