Recommend some US comedy for me...

Christ, that's a lot of suggestions.

Wouldn't really rate Breaking Bad as an out and out comedy, does certainly have it's moments though.

I'm going to give the pilot episodes of pretty much everything listed above a go with the exception of Office (US)...hated the UK verion so not sure i'll get on with it.
 
Modern family
The American office - seriously give it a go, beyond the first series it evolves beyond the uk version and becomes its own show. Very different to the UK version.
Eastbound and Down
The life and times of tim
Archer
Party down

I would say arrested development, but you've ruled that one out, seriously love that show.
 
People actually like 2 Broke Girls? It's awful :(

Louis is definitely the best sitcom on TV right now. Not only that, but perhaps one of the best ever. It could even very well be the next stage in sitcom evolution.

I'd also recommend Party Down. I think that's pretty good. You might also like Go On, which is kinda good.

And also while he was "hangover famous". Yeah, I liked this show too. I'd definitely go for this alongside the others.
 
The one thing I’ll say about Parks and Recreation is to watch the 1st and 2nd season before you judge it I thought the 1st season was dire but it really picks up in the 2nd. (thankfully the 1st series is quite short)

Another vote for this, i got given the first series on DVD from someone at work in the secret santa, the missus and i sat and watched the first 3 episodes last night straight through it made us laugh that much.
 
House

8 seasons and only ended last year. I laughed more watching this than i have during any of the so called pure comedy shows.
