S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl & Clear Sky Complete MOD issue

Longest title evar.

Basically, I downloaded these, go to run the setup and it claims it cannot find my installation, doesn't even ask where it is, just shuts down. Both are on Steam and it claims to be Steam-compatible but I'm not sold, anyone know how to get these working?

Tried placing the mod into the same directory as the .exe?

Oh, and you have to run the game first before the mod will work (Assuming you've just bought/re-installed it).

Any of yous tried this Misery mod? I'm getting absolutely decimated by everything. I love it!

weird man, I just started Call of Pripyat, not got Chernobyl downloaded yet. The effects these complete mods add is simply amazing.

Misery has to be the best mod of the Stalker games, has to be, dunno how it could be any better than this tbh. Get CoP it's £3 on Steam.

Are you using Misery? Complete mods are nice but Misery is a brand new game.

I have no money, not even £3 lol

Oh well, SoC with the AMK + Complete is about as hard core as it can get

Hahahaha, spoken like somebody who hasn't experienced Misery.

Haven't even got off this random shipwreck with an artefact cause the Bandits keep attacking me, can't even take 3 of em out before they kill me, 3 Ak47's vs a rusty old Mosin Nagant, no chance.

They kill you in one shot.

So is it worth using that instead of the complete mod on pripyat? I am only about 30 mins into it.

Nah pretty sure AMK and Misery are on the same level of difficulty (or as close as they can get, being separate games)

It won't hurt to try the Misery mod first, but read up on it first. It's quite tough.

Misery is fantastic. I played a bit of it vanilla first then installed Misery. Its like a completely different game.

Probably, but I don't see how you can get any harder than Misery, so AMK is probably the same level, I mean dying in one shot is about as hard as a game like this can get.

Damn straight, vanilla runs like ass and looks like ass too, yet Misery removes all the stutters and turns the game into a 2012 title visually, extremely impressive mod.

arc@ss, which game was People Soup for? Was that Chernobyl? Not too happy with Chernobyl Complete tbh, as I'm getting pretty bad framerate out of it, despite being able to push Clear Skies and Pripyat much further at a much higher framerate.

Another really annoying issue are the gigantic render lines down the left and top edges of my screen, it's like it on all 3 of them at 1440x900 and 1920x1200. Really really distracting.

Yeah im having a hard time getting across a bandit camp atm, there are about 10 of them and 1 shot kills and extreme radiation with no rad resistant clothes = a nightmare
