I can never quite decide this one. Leather is much more understated which can be good a lot of the time. I'd probably wear leather for interviews, but oddly for client stuff, I might wear metal.

something like an IWC portuguese is perfect with a suit
 
I'll tell you what's a nice load of watches. My friend had a u-boat watch on his wrist and it really caught my eye. Looked so different to anything I had seen. I complemented it and considered getting one myself... nearly vomited up a lung when I saw how much he must have dropped on it.

if you want something a little more sporty for a suit then a JLC master geographic


I often wear a JLC extreme world chronograph with a suit and I think that is pushing it a bit
 
All those watches look ugly :o

I maintain that my complexion makes silver/white watches stand out too much on me, thus making them way too informal.
 
Unbelievably so.

Gold + silver = fail.

That may be because I keep visualising them on my hand. As soon as one of those goes on my hand (in my mind), my teeth turn gold, I rob a corner shop and pimp out mah hoes

Tell you what, send me £1000 and I'll spend it on a watch. Then you buy a watch and we ask the forum who got the best one. Deal?

Also, Rotty, are you sure it isn't you who's the lost cause here? I wear lime green on blue or, red on black. There's no questioning my awesome fashion taste :cool::p
