I have a problem with the dreaded lines of doom.

Got Planetside 2 for Xmas and every time I try and play it, I get various colour lines, with black, or just a black screen.

I have had problems with this in the past, on the odd occasion, but nothing like this. A few times with Farcry 3 out of all the times started to complete it. probably 12 times with Crusader Kings 2 and a few occasions in other games.

I always thought it was a driver issue but have tried 7 versions of drivers and all with the same result. Screen of Doom after you hit play on loading screen.

I was going to upgrade the card shortly but its just over a year old and has been ok for the money tbh.

Any advice appreciated.

This just happened as I tried running through the games I have installed at the moment.

Erm doesn't look good.

Those type of crashes are usually gpu memory related try downclocking the memory mhz by 100-200mhz and see if its any better

I can't go any lower. If I go to test custom settings now it just black screens. Both GPU and memory are at the lowest in overdrive console.

then i agree with the others and plump for a 7850,it will be big improvement plus 2gb memory vs current 512mb,your current card could simply be faulty now

I was doing a staggered upgrade anyway, with just SSD and graphics on my list for now so, I'll try RMA and see what happens. Thanks wazza.
