Nice job spec, stands out a bit at least.

Shame the actual role sounds like possibly one of the worst (non manual labour) roles any human being could ever possibly expect to do. For peanuts too.

OTE £35k.......Yeahhhhhhhhh I'm sure

maybe some abuse... but its selling stationary and office equipment to small businesses so probably not as bad as door to door sales on some council estate


then again it is Glasgow... so perhaps you're right actually ;)

Either way, I think we can all conclude that its likely a very **** job.
 
I have a bad feeling about this job Chewey...

I love the way companies nowadays advertise a laptop and phone/blackberry as a "benefit". There's no way you'd be allowed to use those for non-work stuff so it's just a benefit for the company to be able to contact you 24/7.

You can quite easily use them for non work stuff IME*.... its just a bit pointless as a benefit as most people own their own anyway.

If it was the early 90s then I guess it might be cool.....



(*obviously you can't just install random games on the laptop or run up a load of international calls, but within reason....)
 
But as above most people have their own mobile phones and pc or laptop anyway so there is likely very little benefit to the employee.

I tend to turn my work mobile off when on holiday etc as otherwise I receive trivial calls and would never use it for personal calls (despite being able to) as I hardly use the talk allowance on my own mobile. My company laptop is only ever switched on at home to log in and work or check email etc, I would never use it to just browse the net, though again I could if I wanted
