Which 7950 to fit my 7950 water block?

Maybe so but there are threads of Tech Powerup, Hexus and Overclock3D showing some users with 2x 6 pins.

They're V1 versions then.

V2 has 8 pin and 6 pin. As I said, I've had two of them so it's not like I'm making it up. When these cards were flying off the shelves (before the fault was identified) everyone was confirming the same.

By all means go ahead and buy a block based on V1/7950 version but don't be surprised if it doesn't fit. :)

So basically you are all going to ignore the 25% higher purchase price in favour of a vague hope that you might be able to be able to return it under warranty if something goes wrong further down the line.

If it was something like a PSU I could understand as it is better not to go cheap, but the 7950 are all the same GPU, the windforce has the same GPU as the cheapest, overclockability is a lottery as we all know.

I'd pay the premium to avoid coil whine, I've read a LOT of reports of the lower end 7950's and 7970's having coil whine despite having solid chokes.

Entirely up to you its your money, but myself i would buy the cheapest and DSR it if it whines, you could do that at least three times and still be better off than paying the premium of the dearer cards.

MSI is on the 7970 PCB which helps with overclocking.

Both my faulty MSI card were far better clockers than my HIS card. Not a large sample granted but I've seen that most peoples 7950s on the normal PCB top out around 1175-1200 and 1600 on the memory. Both mine went way, way further.

Yes!

Obviously, CS is worth more to different people and is very subjective and is ambiguous when it comes to putting a £ value on.

There's a relatively high chance a gfx card will fail and as such, I personally believe that you should buy a card from a manufacturer with a fast turnaround.

What sort of speeds is way, way further?
