I don't get the tubes

How do I get from London Victoria to London paddington tomorrow? The circle line is closed!! Usually I get the circle line westbound and just like that I'm there!

Tfl website seems to make it very very complicated!

Victoria Line to Oxford Circus (light blue)

1 change.

Bakerloo line to Paddington (brown)

Or

District line (west bound) to Earls Court

1 change

at Earls Court, District line to Edware Road

I normally take the first one.

Victoria Line to Oxford Circus,

Then take the Bakerloo to Paddington.

If you walk may be, its 20mins thereabouts.

Add in 5 min going down the escalator, 20min

Just take the Vic line and change to Bakerloo. Ignore the TFL website IMO, other than finding out closures.

It's not a bad way to go as the Bakerloo and Victoria lines are adjacent at Oxford Circus so it's a 'step on step off' job

Victoria to Paddington won't be less than a tenner surely? Looking at about a fiver for two people to take the tube for that route with oyster, no?

I used to make that journey every day when I was commuting, and the Victoria/Oxford Circus route is often quicker than the Circle line despite having to change as the trains are more frequent.

Maybe, depends. I take taxi as a preference if I can, especially if it's going to work out insignificantly different in price! I've no idea if the OP will have luggage, needs to walk at the end to get where they want etc.
