Dead Matter - New Zombie Survival Mod for Crysis 2

mod fails to reload after restart as there is already a Crytek application running. This is playing the game through Origin. Anyone know how to get it to load?

I have installed the mod in the correct folder.

Perhaps look in the task manager and kill the running crytek application? But I assume you already did that, right?

it is earlier in release / build

it shows promise but i guess it depends on how much effort is going to be put into the game

some things look ace some are bad

all zombies are eg same i have encountered upto yet but it is early and these can be changed so thas not to bad graphics are great .

speed boost sound is getting on my nerves though when you sprint to long.

also the blur is annoying.

if you want to change your fov

its fov_80 ;) or value you want (use tilde key to drop down console )

Keybinds for the mod are

F2 to Save
I to open inventory (not functional)
O To Eat
P To Drink
I To Check how thirsty you are
K To Check how hungry you are

what you need to remember is a lot are just base buildings and zombie skins

not hard to tweak each one and its very early release.

not to hard to add different decals and such on buildings and so on . im not going to judge it too much until later builds . also should be a better build out in a short time.

install game (crysis 2 )

run so you started a single player game (if you dont start a game no mod folder will be there )

then exit and you should have a mods folder in your crysis 2 folder extract mod there.

might want to patch up to 1.9

I think is did something wrong :S.

I just pasted the files into 'gamecrysis2'. You get the same thing except instead of zombies its CELL soldiers who fire back at you and only go down with headshots.

edit: nvm saw the above post. Got the mod folder now :P

I managed to get it working by adding the game to Steam and running it from there.

I had the same problem as you with Origin, but still having problems using that method in Steam. After selecting Load Mod and restarting I can see a "mod campaign" folder but there is nothing in it and no button to play etc.

Am I missing something obvious?

These are how my files are organised and the Steam Shortcut, maybe it can help
