Cheers, will try Farfan at RM if Robben doesn't work out. Podolski's a good shout as well, didn't even come into my mind.

Still considering a 4321 or 41212, I've changed my mind about 10 times in the last hour. Have only accumulated Neuer so far :o .

Lastly I've just shifted an 86 (not the 87) IF Hamsik for the same price that I accidentally bought him (80k). The relief! :D

I'm guessing you're referring to mine? It's hovering around the 1mil mark, which isn't really stupidly expensive - I've seen a number of teams costing around that on here o: Not sure how it could be miles better for half the price, it's by far the best and most enjoyable team I've used since FUT12 :)
 
Dan that seems like the most random selection of players :p How is IF Lamela? I quite fancy him on one side with IF Shaarawy on the other.

edit: also, how is IF Torres? I thought both of his IFs last year were absolutely incredible, is this year's one similar?

There's methods behind the madness! What started off as a few pointers eventually became a tldr; team review so I'll just paste the lot of it and include links to IG stats too :)

IF Marchetti/Ogbonna/Chiellini/Gamberini - The best all round back 4 I've played with, Buffon is a better keeper than Marchetti but doesn't have the long throw trait I abuse so much.

IF Fellaini - Midfield destroyer, wins everything in the air and bullies people off the ball

IF Montolivo - MED/MED workrates mean's he floats about a bit - always there to receive a pass, linking the defence/attack, before I had two MED/HIGH CDMs and I strugged to get the attackers involved a lot of the time :/

Hazard - I'd been trying IF Mertens up until today based on a few reviews but IMO Hazard is so much better, it's a shame he's not 5 star skills otherwise he would be perfect :D Fellaini being high defensive workrate means he has freedom to bomb forward as much as he wants.

IF Lamela - Amazing. Card stats don't look the best but he really is brilliant, 5 star skills and feels so responsive/agile, I used to only ever use Di Maria on the right but I think I've been converted now!

SIF Cazorla - 5 star weak foot, ridiculous physical stats (90 Agility, 95 Balance, 94 Reactions) couple with insane skill stats make him the perfect unpredictable CAM, best free kick taker I've used since IF Aimar in FUT12 too!

Ibrahimovic - Ibra.

IF Torres - Feels inconsistent - possibly because i'm expecting too much, but I like him anyway because it's Torres :D Great at dribbling but is prone to "Torres"ing it every now and then, good fun to play with though :) Doesn't really seem to have worlds of pace, but is difficult to shrug off the ball and passing is also pretty awesome for a striker.

I made a weird 4231 this evening and thoroughly enjoyed smashing the Christmas noobs. Also made the sensible decision to quit whilst I was ahead...

Getting really bore of my serie a team now.gonna sell up and start from scratch. Any fun, but not ludacrisly expensive teams? Bundesliga?
 
I have a fun Bundesliga 433 if you like to play that formation?

Add Robben if you have the coins? Reus/Diouf/Esswein if you can't handle not having pace up front but personally I like Huntelaar's work rates, helps with patient build up play.
 
what are people's opinions on the most effective formation to play in UT?
currently i am using 352 which I find very balanced but I keep coming up against 433 which i struggle with.
