Late Xmas present spec needed

Right my girlfriend is buying me a new computer in jan as a late xmas present, but ive been out the loop for so long on new hardware not sure where to start.
I can use some bits out of this old one like psu (1000w Corsair), HDD, OS, monitor and dvd drives. budget is about 500-600 need it for gaming on really and to get the best value for money as it has to last a while...cheers

y wud u even consider an 8150 total waste of cash.

an 8320 is only £3.00 more and performs better, uses less power and better overclocking.

Also the mobo in your last link doesn't support piledriver

even though first 2 was the fastest Bulldozer chips and only the last one was a piledriver chip, just a choice but yes get your point

no worries, i didn't see the £3 better chip tbh either, not that i would go for it anyway

think its my bed time :)

yeh if its going to just be gaming go with the intel build deffo.

If your going to do other things that are multi-threaded more ie. rendering encoding stuff like that the piledriver is better.
