So I'm thinking of this...
2rhnrk8.png

And also (since the things I'm looking for are not part of OCUK) a 3570k CPU and an ATI HD6850 gfx card.

The only thing I have a niggling doubt about is the size of the CPU heatsink, I believe it to be MASSIVE, but it should fit, right?
Anything else I might have overlooked?

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestions, but I chose those components of mine carefully based on ....well.... what's available where I am :)

Plus I like the look of that A30 case.

You both mentioned the Z77 chipset mobo though. Is it THAT much better than the B75?
As the mobo I chose has the PCIe slot right at the bottom where I want it and I'd hate to change that particular component.

B75 isn't really an enthusiast board (i.e. overclocking).

Most m-atx boards have PCIE interfaces at the bottom of the board. Some may be 4x, 8x, rather than 1x, but that doesn't matter, you can still plug a 1x card in a 8x, 4x, 16x slot.

Ok, then how about this, takes more extreme memory than the Gigabyte....

Would the bottom slot take a PCIe x1 Wifi card ?

I can't complain about my Z68 Extreme4, works great, boots fast, some problems in the BIOS with my Zowie mouse but that's about it. The Pro-4 is slightly more budget, but I don't see this being a problem for overclocking to 4.3, 4.4GHz. Looking around reviews, it seems a good buy.

You don't really need uber quick memory really. You hardly need to overclock memory on Sandy / Ivy. The memory timing / overclockcing is de-coupled from the CPU overclocking, as the CPU base clock needs to stay at 100MHz. So you just change the CPU or memory multiplier.

1 x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) £49.99
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £41.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX) £35.99
Total : £404.33 (includes shipping : £9.50).

A list of memory I would consider. I use the HyperX, at 1.545V. If you want to play around with memory overclocking, undervolting, timings, then I'd check out the Samsung Green 8GB. Some run them at over 2000MHz.

The Seasonic PSU is actually more powerful, but it is bigger than the CoolerMaster (160mm versus 150cm in length), which can be kind of a big deal on small form factors.

Thanx for all the suggestions, but there's something deep inside that won't allow me to get 1600mhz memory.

My current memory is 1600mhz and if I'm upgrading, then by jove it'll be an UPGRADE !! :D
