Many moons ago my dad had a Toyota Rav4 as a company car, back when they were little jeep things. We went on a green lane and through a fjord which was really too deep, was hilarious as the thing could have easily been ruined.

You know driving through floodwater is very dangerous?

All the road furniture will have been lifted by the water, currents, rubbish, dead animals, sewage, chemicals, unable to see the road surface.

Driving down a road like that when you have no reason to seems a little foolish.

What car is it and where's the air intake? Was a good effort. I've been in some pretty deep water in a Defender with snorkel kit, to the point of the water coming through the bottom of the doors. Not sure I'd have done it in something I own though.

Was the beeping your laptop saying danger to manifold?

I think the smoke as you reversed is a sign that it drank something. Did you check if the air filter was yet after?

Yea my airfilter was sodden, but the smoke is normal when you bury the exhaust under water, it cools a bit quicker than normal so doesn't burn off quite so readily.
