So here you are back at OC the day after the big win, so you decide to have a pc built for you, what would you pick?

I’ll start off and spec one,

Intel Xeon E5-2690 @ 2.90GHz times 2 = 16cores, 2 physical processors.
EVGA SR-X Dual Socket (Socket 2011) Motherboard
TeamGroup Xtreem LV 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit
Windows 8 pro (built in 2 cpu support) ie 2 physical processors
Samsung 512GB SSD 840 PRO SATA 6Gb/s (boot drive)
OCZ RevoDrive3 X2 960GB PCI-E SSD X2 (apps and games)
Asus GeForce GTX 690 4096MB PCI-Express Graphics Card X2
Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus 7.1 PCI-E Soundcard
Lian Li PC-V2120B Aluminium Full Tower Case
EVGA SuperNova NEX 1500w Digital Classified Modular Power Supply
Samsung MD230X3 Widescreen LCD Eyefinity Monitor

What would yours be and why?

Just for fun, as you never know your luck, 25 millionaires on New Years Eve.

It's all depend, i'd quite hapily dump a load on a few choice machines.

HTPC - fully gaming compatible, but in the nicest looking case possible.

Couple of data servers too, with money being no issue, i'd end up using some kind of super raid card with just the best possible SSD's inside rather than using any mechanical drives.

Gaming rig: well, i'd have to build 4: 2 insane desktops one for me, one for the missus), fully watercooled, custom cases, or at least custom sprayed/anodised/powder coated or something, they would have to be increadibly aesthetically pleasing, all hardware matchign up, loads of extra bits inside to make it look unified - ie, pcb colouring, every light matching, custom replaced perspex to change lighting if required. 2 more transportable, yet still powerfull and increadibly awesome looking machines for lan parties - have to be showing off!

I reckon i could quite easily dump 100k on the above...

tbh unless you played online you wouldn't have the funds to build a computer the day after you won and even then they only pay a fraction directly into your account.

It would be very tempting to get the best top end system around, water cooling etc. However I am not really a hardcore gamer, so would probably keep my current rig (maybe new monitor) for that and spec up a nice server and network setup and use it for VMWare.
Money could then be spent on decent sound proof cabinet for it!

If I went all the way I could even build a separate server building with aircon and the lot. 100mb leased line :)
