The lottery winners pc

snips86x, if i may ask, why only 1 cpu? if you had won, wouldn't you want 2?

yes no game would support it i know, but there are some apps that do, none that i'd ever use tbh

but with windows 8 pro, you have the option.

2 of your chips which give a good benchmark.

i only put the xeon's in as ever test rig benchmark ive seen, those were the quickest on test, may be a waste for even gaming i don't know, but would have a good score for a long while with a dual setup.

just a dream btw, i didn't win last night either :(

I know a dual CPU would be for some, but the usage it would get would be not worth it. The i7x is more than capable and for power consumption would be too great for something which wouldn't get used to it's potential. I like Windows 8, but prefer 7, could allways dual boot on the RevoDrive3, if I wanted to use it. Not fussed about benchmarking, so long as it does what I need it to do.

I've done an Nvidia spec also, as Physx is pretty when used:

interesting, thanks

goes to show even with a lottery win, you wouldn't waste it on bits not needed.

have stayed with tried and tested bits big hdd and not gone overboard like i did with revo's and sdd's.

whats your reasons for hydro over air or other forms of cooling etc?

and i love your speaker choice, must admit they do make some good stuff, never had any mind you but have friends that do, bit green i went when i heard them tbh.

Basket exceeds maximum value, please contact our sales department to place this order

TRAITOR !!!! That happens on a competitors website :D Not sure if it happens here as well as I've never placed an order over 5k with ocuk :D

Back OT.... Why are you guys building with an SR-X ... read all the rants about it. Also don't skimp and save with cheap ssds get yourself a z-drive bargain at 15k a pop.

Being honest, I recently did a build but scaled it back to a single socket 2011 and a 3k z-drive.... Total cost was £7.5k

Speaker Choice?

If you wanted some nice speakers I would skip all the rest and go for some large like Funktion 1s or Adam a7x if you wanted to go smaller. I also would skip on a cheap audio interface then and go for something with a high quality D/A conversion you may as well go Lynx Aurora or something along those lines.

Then I would load up my 128kbps Lady Gaga mp3 and dance like a millionaire maniac.

tbh I'd just throw a wad at one of the system modders here, and leave them to it.
I'd be wanting more bling than bang!!

This. Rock up at the OCUK shop with your chequebook and say "Hi, stupidly powerful system please. Watercool me, silent machine, 6 x 27" IPS monitors. Please finish building it while I go buy a new house and get it decorated appropriately (Hidden button revealing the fireman's pole to my batcave, etc)."
