Hey, I got out of bed ealier (was having a nap) and I went to stand up and caught my leg on the bed it twisted, felt a slight crack/pop and there was masses amounts of pain.

Thought it was just a cramp or something, gave it 10 mins, still can't straighten my leg...

Its been almost 2 hours now, I still can't straighten it! The pain is way too intense if I try to, It does have motion to a extent, I just can't get it past a certain point, it hurts way too much.

What shall I do? Shall I try to go to sleep, see whats its like in the morning, or will that risk even more pain? (I fidget a lot in the night... ) or shall I go to hospital, get it checked out?

I have a 10 hour shift planned tomorrow for new years eve, I can't put any weight on my left leg, if it stays like this, I won't be able to work!

Give me your opinions. I'm stuck here! (literally) :(

I could sleep, but I don't think I want to risk it. If it went down in the night.. I don't even want to imagine the pain.

EDIT - Doesn't feel like a muscle. Never had a muscle pain last this long.

Edit - removed, wouldn't want you to try it and hurt yourself based on my experiences alone.

As I said, I can't recommend you do the same for obvious reasons, but best of luck! :s

Think about it this way... Would you rather go to A&E now, or A&E tomorrow on New Years Eve with 200% longer waiting times because of drunk morons!

I say go now.

Every single time I have phoned them they just told me to pop along to my local A&E. I found them useless.

Since the 111 number came in they've been sending Ambulances for everything and anything. Total waste of paramedics time!

I had the same issue after gaining a bit of weight two years ago, my doctor advised me to see a physio and his advise to me was to lose weight.

Go see someone who's trained with dealing with this sort of stuff.
