First time self builder wants to say a big THANK YOU to all who helped me with it.
Especially honosuseri for the link to the video.
Thanks again and ATB,Nelly.

Thanks fellas.

Hono, how about changing it to Hondo. The cool Samuel L Jackson character in the SWAT film ?

Photos of my build a soon as I work out how to post them, all new to me this malarky :)

Upload them to a photo hosting site like photobucket.

Then copy the

Stick the cables round the back near the PSU then bring them back through where they are needed. i.e. there is hole right next to the 24 pin :)

It's one of those things that you always end up doing later. The excitement and need to see if everything works always drives me to do half-assed cable management the first time round, and I always have to go back and tidy it later

Good to know I'm not alone.:D

I've been called Hondasuzuki once or twice which made me chuckle. Alas there is no "d" in Honosuseri but......you know when you've been Hono'd ;)

Great to see it up and going. As the guys are saying some cable management would be nice but this can take some time and I do confess it's very boring. However when you see the before and after pics.......it's soooo worth it :D

nice pics,

poor cable management can lead to poor air flow and or increased heat, which in turn can lead to shorter life span of parts.

best to also keep it looking nice and tidy, but never have it too tight

plenty of space for more fans as well to keep air flowing in and out

Nice and well done.

If your chassis allows for cable routing around the back of the case please get to it. Can't see much wrong with it other than I can't see an exhaust fan.

Hopefully the fan in the front is intaking air in ? Check by holding a thin strip of tissue paper near the coolermaster logo. If it's intaking air the tissue paper will draw towards the chassis or be blown away from it if the opposite is true.

Many thanks for the pics

Happy New Year All.
Cable routing done today :

Must say things were a little tight at the back, side panel did not slide on easily. Is that "usual" ? Or am I back to it tomorrow ?

Subliminal Aura, no exhaust fan and fan in front of case taking in air. Is an exhaust fan needed or can it wait until Feb ? Step-son has a birthday coming.
All the best, Nelly

A modular PSU would have been a good idea to be honest, would have saved you having to hide so many excess cables. The cable management on that case isn't great. Doesn't look like there is much room behind the mobo tray either :(

Definately looks better now though. You have a trinity setup so no GPU adding heat or needing temps checked. You could faff around for hours and not make any great improvement

Thanks for the advice/guidance Hono. Out of interest how would I check
temps ?

Well done ... Looks much better now.

You should be ok as you're not overclocking but a check of temps with HWmonitor won't hurt :) ... Fans are not expensive though :) £7 for a slightly noisy 120mm fan or £15-20 expensive but silent noctua

All the best and happy new year to you
