Looking for one but not sure if a digital one would be better or not. Don't think I should have to spend more than a fiver (most sell for less). Are there any you would recommend?

Do you have £5 tyres?

Digital are OK if they specify an accuracy, and even better if they compensate for temperature

Analog are nicer to use (no waiting for a readout and some have a bleed function)

I use an analogue RACE X PROFESSIONAL TYRE PRESSURE GAUGE which was around £10 when I got it. Its very accurate and I calibrate my digital inflators to it.

A fair bit more than you want to pay. But one of the best out there. Very much a case of "you get what you pay for" (to a certain extent!).

Pros
- Straight push on and seals very well.
- Digital display where you can pre-program in your tyre pressure.
- Handy LED light
- Button to bleed air if tyre over inflated.
- Read out almost instantaneous (some take a noticeable time to give you a pressure read out).
- Guaranteed accuracy.
- Nice little case to put it in.

To be honest, some of the cheaper ones don't seal very well when you try to use them! and air tends to escape!!

PS. As it's something you are unlikely to purchase very often, my way of thinking is that you might as well get a good one.
