Hey guys

Just started OC'ing my 3930k, ive got a 4.8Ghz OC dialled in, problem is i load prime 95 on a blend Thank and press so and instantly all the works start to stop working...

pc dosent crash its just the workers stopping, any ideas?

I intend to run this thread to get some tips until I find a stable OC!

Thanks!

4.8ghz is a large overclock for 32gb ram

what voltage is your chip to get 4.8ghz?

it was at 1.4 but the ram is messing around with the clock, 4.6 seems easy but temps get quite high as i was still using 1.4 vcore for stability. i think ill have to go for 4.6 with around 1.38 vcore and down clock the ram speed from 2200 to around 1600-1800 as slowing the ram increased prime95 stability.
