I'm unable to use msi afterburners fps limiter and fraps at the same time. Games just won't load if i have them running at the same time, so i need an alternative.

I'm trying to run and record some benchmarks capturing frame times. I want to capture the times with vsync on and off, plus with vsync on and an fps limit slightly below vsync.

So far ive tried RadeonPro to limit fps to 58, didn't work. Instead it kept the fps at 60. FPS Limiter 0.2, didn't work. Other than those two i can't find anything. Any suggestions?

Dxtory has problem with the afterburner overlay If I remember rightly you have to run dxtory then record then try afterburner.
If you are using bf3 you can use bf3 settings editor to lock frames or use a the console command in game.

I wanted to limit fps whilst i run and record frame time averages with fraps. Nothing more nothing less. Sadly afterburners fps limit will not work with fraps running.

Afterburner can both limit FPS and record video. Why do you need fraps?

e: or am I misunderstanding what you want?

2nd e: latest afterburner can record frametime as well..

Have you tried 'frapscalc' or 'frapscalculator'(it's one of the two) matt?

Might/not be of use idk, just throwing it into the ring for you to try.:)

It might be hard to track down though, I'm at work, if I still have it, I'll send you it later.

Frametime monitoring doesn't work for me on AB, I tick it+OSD it but nothing comes on screen, anyone know if it's because I'm on 12.8's and it's maybe not supported on the older driver?

I haven't tommy but ill have a look for that now, cheers. If not feel free to send it over when you have a moment. I'm thinking that it will help smooth out my frame rates even further but we'll see.

Whoops, it won't make anything smoother, it's more a visual map on framerates when you bench through fraps matt, sorry for the confusion.

Yes i realised that after looking at it. :D Thanks anyway though, always good to have an alternative to this recently discovered FrafsBenchViewer.
