Hi all, im looking to get a good graphics card so that i can run all the top games on max settings.

im looking at the 7950, but is one brand better than another, or just go for the cheapest one?

it will be used with a 15 3570k

thanks
ian

or would you recomend a different card?

santa got me one for xmas and im pleased . its very quiet ( iceq ) im running farcry 3 maxed with the core@1055 and my old 920 [email protected] . theres still some more under the bonnet if needed

paid £239 for mine then went up to £249 a day later , then 3 days later it came down to £229 ....crazy

Got my iceQ for 229, oced to 1100/1400 1.10v with temp not going above 61c at 50-55% fan speed.
Wanted the gigabyte but it was 260 when the iceq was 229.

Is yours the boost version?

Has to be the HIS 7950 at £230. For some reason the Gigabyte WF3 7950 has gone up to £269.99  and at that price I cannot recommend it. ;)

Hi have the his 7950, but does anyone else get a funny noise from the fan? it allmost sound like there is something small touching the blades, like a small wire or something. if i change the fan speed, the noise changes as well.

i have had a good lock, but can not see anything in the way.

anything else i could look for please

thanks
ian

the funny noise comes and goes, it sounds like something is touching the fan every now and then. do you think it could be a bearing, or it just need wearing in?
