I'm looking to upgrade my phone from a galaxy s2 and I can get the above on a 24 month contract with o2 for a total of £475 over 24 months( which has enough minutes and data for me).

Any thoughts on which way to jump and why????

Thanks

I have had no experience with the others, but I have recently got the One X +.

I love it. Great display, slightly larger than my old Desire HD but it has taken no time getting used to! Fast and smooth. And a much improved camera over the HD. Really impressed with the 64GB internal storage also. It has meant that I can put all of my music on there :D

What do you use your phone for? What's the tariff too? As the Nexus 4 has limited internal storage so you may end up using data more than you think (if you get into streaming etc :))

If you're not fussed about memory then go for the Nexus 4.

HTC are notoriously bad when it comes to updating their phones and you know with a Nexus phone that you'll get updates really quickly.

Secondly the Nexus 4 has a better chipset IMHO than the HTC One X+ and ontop of that has 2GB RAM as opposed to 1GB on the HTC One X+

Don't even bother with any Sony phones, they are even worse than HTC when it comes to updating phones!

So any problems with the nexus 4 ???

I must admit from what I have read a lot of people think the one x+ is a better phone, due to it's build quality and 64gig storage.

I'll be using the phone for emails and internet and games/apps etc, I dont really watch films.

I also use it as a satnav, so if I go to the states etc the maps use 3 gig

The deal i'm looking at is 15.50 pm (phone £105) 24 months with 200mins unlimited txt and 500mg of data on o2 ( I find that enough as I normally find a hotspot near by)

Nexus 4 is the cheapest - for that I would go off contract and buy sim free - would save you a lot of money in the long run, its downside is lack of microsd.

Avoid the HTC One X+ - its a poor phone with battery issues apparently.

The Sony Xperia T ticks all the boxes, allows for micro sd and is a real beauty - the best of the 3 imo.

I've heard the opposite, that the battery on the one x+ is great.

I have a ONE X and the only phone I would move to would be the ONE X+ as the ONE X is such a great phone.

I really don't like the look of the Nexus 4, a bit bulky and covered in needlessly crackable glass.

Indeed you are right, I was thinking of the One XL. Apols.

I must admit I think the sony is the best looking of them all, I just wonder though if it's a bit low on power being dual core with a high screen res???

Bulky... dunno where you got that from, it's shorter and narrower than the One X :P

My opinion is the same as it always is in these threads, go to a store and try them out and see which one you like the best. Different people prioritise different things. I had a One X and loved the screen and shell, but it was too big for me and the software was rubbish. Xperia devices don't usually interest me because the software is usually old and the hardware underpowered.

The S4 dual core is no slouch and the battery lasts well on the Xperia T.

Just don't expect quick updates when every other phone is on the latest JB or Key Lime Pie and it takes Sony 6-8 months after to roll out an update.

Also don't expect Sony to carry on supporting your phone, they're extremely quick to stop updating their phones an move their attention to their latest and greatest.

It just looks thick... I'm not a fan of the brick type design of phones like the iPhone I prefer that it tapers IMO the one x is one of the sleekest phones out there. The thing that sold me on the one x was the screen though, it was something that drew my eye to some of the Nokia phones with a similar design. There is also the fact that the screen itself looks mazeballs.

so out of curiousity how longer does it take to update the nexus compared in HTC and sony.

Eg when did the last nexus get updated??
