Steam Christmas Sale 2012

What's you guys opinion on Bastion? Looks quite cool

It's one of those games where everyone I know has been nagging me to play it ever since it came out, and I was like "yeah yeah I'll get around to it".

Now that I have actually gotten around to playing it... I now know what everyone was talking about. It's a wonderful game, and it will immerse you in a very interesting world with interesting people, with a story that'll suck you in. I recommend you get the soundtrack version, but it's okay if you just want to buy the basic game.

Do I have to sacrifice any man points when I say the narrator's voice is damn sexy? :o

The combat was adequate, but game mechanics like that aren't really what the game is about.

It's on offer at the moment for £2.86. It's the price of a pint, and I guarantee you it'll be more satisfying than a pint. I couldn't recommend this game more highly.

Bought nothing but Warlock, which is pretty damn good. Just one more turn... All the games I want are too new, ie xcom needs to be on a bigger discount before I will buy it.

Just as well I have a backlog of games from previous sales :)

I won't hold my breath but maybe the last few days will bring a bargain.

Although the sale seemed disappointing to start with i've ended up quite happy with it. Bought both the Batman Arkham games (first games ive completed from a Steam sale straight away), Crysis 2 for when the zombie mod is complete and The Witcher 2 which looks fantastic so far.

Usually i buy loads of games that don't get played in the space of a year and sometimes never.

Same here mate this time ive brought stuff ill actually play and finished some of them already which is rare for me! Nice to spend some time with the pc on break from work! I rarely get a chance usually!

On to alan wake now, seems good soo far!

After not buying much in the Summer sale I went a bit mad with this one.

I picked up:

Sleeping Dogs
Stalker: Call of Pripryat
Sims 3 plus some DLC
Sim City 4
Hearthfire DLC for Skyrim
Black Ops 2

I bought Darksiders franchise pack, Dark Souls and Borderlands 2 season pass.

I'm happy with them all except Dark Souls - think that might be a dud :(

People say you have to get into Dark Souls. Then when you are a few hours in you start to really enjoy it. Doesn't really look appealing to me at that price but when it comes down I'm certain I will get it
