To be honest stats don't really tell the whole story, a lot of players in game just 'feel' better than others. A lot of it is down to personal preference too. The problem with Fifa UT is that technical stats, in particular passing stats, aren't really important in comparison to pace or strength because any player can pretty much play any pass anyway. Similarly, shooting stats aren't very important because any player can shoot in Fifa UT too. Gerrard has high in both shooting and passing but Taraabt is quicker, has 5* weak foot and is cheaper too.

lol, I was also trying to make the original 451 decent, hence pastore at cam..
451 maybe good, although i think stewy said it was weak at the back
Well, I'd made a non-rare team, played two games with two wins (opponents were rubbish) and then sold it because it was terrible, there was no off the ball movement like in my Serie A side and the choice of wide French players from Ligue 1 isn't particularly amazing. Roux scored 4 goals in 2 games, and Gouffran was decent but the rest of the team just felt really meh.
Sold all my players apart from my Zenit and Serie A squads, I had a load of Brazilians in my club and quite a few other random players so I'm up to around 200K which isn't megabucks but hopefully when the UP cards come out I can put a good side together from the non-UP players. I'll be around from about 7:30 ish if you wanna play.

Can anyone recommend some better forwards that aren't going to make me cry at the price and full backs / holding midfielder? I picked up Tiote from Newcastle and he's ~ok.
I didn't struggle playing with two attacking midfielders to be honest, gave me much more pace and more options.
Everyone I look for is expensive

Tiote is the best you can get in BPL for a holding mid without going silly money.
Darren Bent is a decent choice on a budget.
