Recently purchased 2x VTX3D 7970's... currently running at 1050/1425

with -
3820 @ 4~ghz
16gb ram, 2x HDD's etc etc !

...Off a 750w "competitors" PSU (Roughly £60?... fairly bog-standard)

The system runs fine as it is, run multiple benchmarks etc.

But, how far would you OC the GPU's?! Air-flow isn't an issue.

Basically, will the PSU be able to cope with a significant OC? and, if not... what happens?! If the PSU can't hack it, will it just cut out or, blow up?! :(

Thanks!

I wouldn't trust a £60 750w.

The PSU is potentially the most important part of a PC - if it blows, you either replace the PSU, or replace nearly everything in the rig. A lot of it is scare stories, and the chances are that most PSU failures only break the PSU - but the cheaper you go, the more chance that the money has skimped on the voltage protection etc and the more chance of a catastrophic failure. They don't occur as often as some people make out, but they do happen and it isn't a lot of fun to replace most of your system for the sake of £20 or so spent on a decent PSU

I would heed your own advice and change the ocz psu in your sig.
They are awful. My sons lasted a month before it blew
