So here's my story. I'm 18 years old and have worn glasses for most of my life. I'm quite short sighted, about -4.00 in each eye. I've been wearing contacts recently but they are starting to get annoying. Just wondering if any of you guys have had Laser Eye Surgery and would recommend it, I'd probably not get it until 2014 anyway, just thinking a bit in advanced :)

I think you'd want to wait for a little longer for your prescription to settle down. You wouldn't want to get it done and then need glasses a couple of years later.

Search older threads, you can also look up "lasek" with my username for my story of botched and unsuccessful op by one of the best clinics in London. Just so you've got both good and bad sides of this tech.

I had laser eye surgery in November (21 at the time) and have gone from -3.75 / -3.5 to not needing glasses at all (my prescription will not be properly checked until next month).

After my experience I would recommend it.

Sorry guys didn't see the other thread, will have a look through it!

Optical Express says the minimum age is 18! :)

Don't use such a public company, go to a private company and get it done properly where you aren't just treated as a number.

Of course its 18 with them, they get more money with a bigger age range, wait till your a bit older.
