How big can you go?

I'd so love one of these. Pics don't do justice and I was absolutely mesmerised in the shop (John Lewis) at the truly amazing clarity of the image. Just really, really beautiful to watch and the huge screen sucks you in. It does 3D too. But look at the price, you'd need to remortgage :eek:

I really do beleive the bigger the better.

Personally I'd just get a projector though.

I'm hoping Panasonic are going to be releasing some 70" plus mainstream plasmas next gen but I'm not sure it'll happen - looking forward to what comes out of CES though - i'm fortunate enough to have a place with enough space for a big screen and quite fancy going over 65"!

4K projector is a 10th the price and easily do a 300" picture
I know if I had the money that's what I would go for :-)

its just new tech isnt it, so the size is a bit irrelevant , more the fact that its 4k is what your ultimately paying for.

A few people I know have 24ft+ living rooms...

Which really callout for a screen larger then 47".......

4K PLASMA yes, but not a 4K LED.....LED will always have issues, they'll never solve backlight bleeding/clouding, much poorer contrast/ motion/ response rate/ screen uniformity, the list is endless......increasing the res will not solve these issues... especially an LG LED telly :mad:

Panasonic are switching to OLED in a joint business venture with Sony, plus reducing their plasma production run by 50% BUT for some reason they're increasing their production of LCD, but maybe this is for outdoor display screens at football grounds etc.

so Panny are in a bit of trouble right now.... most odd because their plasmas are the best tvs you can buy, Panny have been blown away by this Smart LED marketing hype from Sammy/LG and instigated by Currys.....the general public dont realise what a crappy tv they're buying, probably dont care either

LG are launching a 55inch OLED screen for about £6k this month. It's thinner than an iPhone at 4mm

Go to john lewis and feast your eyes on the 84" TV, you'll soon change your mind.
