Well i'm having a problem since i have upgraded to Windows 8, It happens mainly whilst i'm playing League of Legends. All the happens is a loud 'DURRR' noise and get a blue screen saying 'Your computer has encountered a problem', This causes the computer to freeze and i have to give it a reboot for it to work. What's the best way to work out the problem?

Check your event logs I would guess, also what error code is displayed when it blue screens?

Are you overclocked?

I'm not sure on the code, Will check next time it does it. i'm normally just annoyed so just reboot straight away haha! will pay more attention next time!.

Yes i am overclocked!

Check the error logs or take note of the code next time but if I was you I'd be looking at the overclock primarily.

I will take note of the code and check the log too, Just need to get to the bottom of it now as it's bugging me!.

Hmm the overclock was fine on windows 7 and it's only started doing this since i upgraded to windows 8 though.

Just got home and looking at the event viewer, This 'Critical' error seems to have popped up a lot, Doesn't mean much to me does it to any of you guys?

download and use these tools as it seems to be only happening at max ie in games

if this also makes it happen the same, then overclock or memory could be the error

it helped me, but i guess you have already tried it and im being to basic, but it may help others to see and not have done it / tried it

good luck

Running the tests now and at idle it's at 2200mhz and when running prime 95 it's 2589mhz so the clock is working at max and still haven't encountered an error as of yet
