HTC one x+ v Nexus 4 v sony xepria T which one to go for??

so out of curiousity how longer does it take to update the nexus compared in HTC and sony.

Eg when did the last nexus get updated??

Within a few day of any new Android versions with new features being announced the entire Nexus line is usually updated, the Galaxy Nexus has outlasted lots of phones of the same generation for this reason alone. It received Jellybean within days of announcement.

Companies like HTC usually take around half a year (or more) to get updates out with the latest Android features.

It's for this reason alone I am on the Nexus 4 and foresee myself sticking to Nexus phones in the future, when I see new intuitive features I want them dammit!

Just been offered the xperia t at no cost , so my question is this.

Is the nexus 4 or htc one x+ worth a extra £104 upfront???

If you aren't worried about updates then I suppose the Nexus/OneX+ aren't £104 better, however the battery life seems a concern on the Xperia T.

Having said that the battery life of the One X+ and Nexus aren't exactly industry leading.

I've scanned a few reviews (and I have used one before as well) and there doesn't actually seem to be much wrong with the Xperia T - outside of the battery being a bit dodgy - but the same is often said for most Android phones in fairness. It depends what you do with it.

It just seems a bit underwhelming overall, I suggest you give this a read and that will help you decide if it sounds suitable for you: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_t-review-820.php

The Xperia T broke apart in my hands at the shop and felt incredibly cheap, I'd avoid it.

The Nexus 4 really is MILES better than the rest. Buy a cheap one from Google and get a £5pm contract or move to payg.

Would I be wrong in saying the Xperia-T is currently running 4.0 and only has news about a 4.1 update for February? (Which would still leave it out of date.)

Personally I wouldn't want to use a pre-Jelly Bean device again.

Fair play to Sony then, maybe they are getting their act together at long last.

That's probably because someone had broken it beforehand, it didn't feel all that badly made to me. The 'textured' finish of it is a bit Marmite, but I expect some people might like it. I didn't mind it.

If that where and option I may take it, but I can't see google selling/delivering any phone is the next months , any way the deal on o2 works out cheap enough so I wouldn't be paying the more than the eqvilent of £10pm on the tariff.

I must admit when I played with the xperia in the shop, I thought the build quality was good.
