At my staff training as a bit of fun we were given a quiz on weird British Laws so I thought I'd post here and see what everyone thinks :) Will post the answers in a spoiler box at the bottom :)

1. It is legal for a male to urinate in public, as long as it is on the rear wheel of his motor vehicle and his right hand is on the vehicle. TRUE/FALSE

2. In Chester you can only shoot a Welsh person with a bow and arrow inside the city walls after midnight. TRUE/FALSE

3. It is illegal for a cab in the City Of London to carry rabid dogs or corpses. TRUE/FALSE

4. It is illegal to go round a roundabout more than 3 times. TRUE/FALSE

5. It is illegal to be drunk on Licensed Premises. TRUE/FALSE

6. Lond Hackney Carriages (Cabs/Taxis) must carry a bale of hay and a sack of oats. TRUE/FALSE

7. All English males over the age of 14 are to carry out 2 hours of longbow practice a week supervised by the local clergy. TRUE/FALSE

8. In the UK a pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants - even if she so requests, in a policeman's helmet. TRUE/FALSE

9. It is illegal to die in the House Of Commons. TRUE/FALSE

10. It is illegal to impersonate a Chelsea Pensioner. TRUE/FALSE

It isnt illegal to die in the house of commons, its just if you did you are entitled to a full state funeral so they would never say you died there. (Was told when i visited)
 
Not British Law... Scots have a different system.

Also some of these whacky ones have been superseded and are no longer law... so not true as you claim.
 
It's rubbish, they had some of these on QI. They're just old laws that have been superceded by other laws and aren't worth taking the time to ammend.

Exactly, just because a Law still exists in statute, doesn't mean that it hasn't been superseded by newer laws that invalidate the older ones.

Newer laws always take precedence over older :p
