The story:
February last year, I was backpacking in India, I stopped off in Palolem for a bit after getting a 12 hour train from Mumbai, decided to stay a while in a shared hostel tent. Naturally a group of backpackers formed, this is the case for most back packing locations.
We all went out for a meal, nice, on the beach, a little touristy but nice. Another group of backpackers approached, one member of their group knew a member of ours. We all stayed silent for these few seconds as they said goodbye as their group collectively decided to head south.
Meanwhile, I was trying to pick up my jaw from the floor, as one girl from the other group was something I didn't think possible. Pure perfection, absolute perfection! They left before I could say anything.
The next day, knowing they had the night before, jumped on a train and head hundreds of miles south of me, I moaned and moaned about being so silly and not saying a thing. The group took me out to cheer me up, being sick of hearing me complaints and wishes and talking about her non stop!
We sat down, and no more than 5 minutes passed until I spotted something, in a totally random place, on Palolem beach, out of hundreds of restaurants, there she sat. In front of the restaurant I was at. Oblivious to me being there. My friends genuinely looked shocked just as much as I did.
What will I do, what do I say, how do I approach? Oh god... I pulled up all the courage, strength and smoothness one man could. This was for us single men looking for new love with broken hearts. I swooped in and initiated contact. We spoke, for a full 5 minutes!
Joking was had, stories told, total strangers to each other yet natural in conversation. My friend then whispered in my ear as he approached me "dinner is ready".
Perfect timing, conversation had gone on long enough. And thankfully, as usual I had my pad and pen as I do when I travel, so did she!!! So alike. I asked for details, she gave me her facebook, mobile number, house number and the town she lived in (Brighton!!!!).
Anyway, since that one night, 5 minutes in heaven, we have been keeping contact over facebook. She has traveled the world and only just got back.
*drum roll*
We are meeting this Saturday, for drinks and a catch up! I'm heading to Brighton to see her. I am over the moon, months and months of conversations, and yet it's still fresh and we are meeting up. I hope she is just as attracted as I am too her.
I hope and beg that more will come from this. Like I said, utter perfection
So, please wish me luck! I can't let the girl of my dreams get away, and any advice would be brilliant!
