Spec me a second team guys.
Happy enough with my 3-5-2 bpl, but variety is the spice of life, feel the need to make a second decent(ish) gold team, not bothered as to which league as yet.
What formations have good wingplay, but without the defensive gaps of 3-5-2?

Good wingplay & no defensive gaps? You're probably looking towards 4-2-3-1 in honesty, depends if you mind single striker formations?

Quite like my 2 up front formations, think i'll pick up a cheap team in that formation and see how it goes, cheers Tim.
ps - not forgotten that 5-1 drubbing about a week ago. My oh my how the game would have changed if i'd not hit the post at 1-1

I had completely forgotten about that, but I think its coming back to me now, most 5-1 drubbings have me on the bad end of it!

This is exactly what I felt like and decided to go for a Serie A side in 41212 as follows and I'm finding 4 at the back is a lot more secure:
