Should be good. I don't have nearly as much ill will towards him as many. Simply because it's too easy to judge others when I doubt any of us are whiter than white or without regrets. I'm not excusing what he has done just saying it's to easy to be an arm chair critic when I doubt any of us are Angels :)

Be interesting to hear what he has to say. Most still report that if he does want to confess he would be opening himself up to all kinds of lawsuits and charges.

Hmm no problem with him doping, it's just how pro cycling was/is. But he systematically went around ruining people's lives and livelihoods to gain a benefit/protect himself. Bassons/Simeoni/Lemond etc. - that's pretty evil.

Saying "I'm not in a position to judge him because I once stole a book from a library" is a bit of a cop out, no?

This. He cheated his way to 7 TdF victories - one is unforgivable, but 7 is completely taking the ****. He ruled the Peleton with an iron glove, ruined several careers and others quit because of him.

Then to lie about it all just takes the biscuit.

We are Angels compared to him. Running a red light or parking in a space we shouldn't really doesn't compare does it?

Denying others the chance of victory is what annoys me most. Will definitely be catching up with this interview.

The sport was so corrupt back then. Don't imagine for a second that without Armstrong we would have had clean winners in those TdFs.

More annoying is the fact that the sport was at a crossroads in 1998 after Festina... then Armstrong happened and ruined any opportunity to clean up.

I think it's still corrupt now. Vino bought the Olympic RR from Uran and I suspect drug abuse is still prevalent. I just don't think the riders are clean.

It doesn't stop me loving the sport though, it's just a case of being honest about what's going on.

Another opportunity was missed with Confidis. The problem is human nature. Too many vested interests. Too many people in power who don't want to lose it. The rewards for success is huge, so to get there, to compete on a level playing field, the riders seek help.

Cycling could be clean, but it'd be boring as **** to watch and it'd take a clean sweep of the current governing structures etc.

Dunno it was boring as **** to watch with US Postal and Team Sky.

It's not the drugs, it's the number of domestiques these people are allowed. 9 for a GT is too many. See World Champs 2011 vs Olympic RR 2012 for example no. 1!

On a side note, Cyclestore have pre-order pricing up on the Garmin Edge 810.

The bundle with 1:50k OS, cadence and HRM is £479. My Edge 800 cost £320 (for the same bundle) - you've really got to want the smartphone integration to pay that much more (at launch at least).

I disagree.
The 2012 TdF was a little different because some of the domestiques seemed to be climbing better than their team leaders on some stages and it became more of a battle between domestiques.

I think that the GC guys need a team big enough to get them back into the peleton if they have a crash or mechanical issue.
It's much more exciting to see a race won through attacking than lost through crashes/mechanicals.
