Many times I feel the internet has changed the way many people live for the worst and has also been the blame for so many retail stores to close down..

Define: Better
Trouble is most people on here are to young to know what people did before the internet...;)

Now all I see is almost everyone I know from kids to old people just spending most there free time just glued to the internet and very rarely going out and enjoying themselves with friends..
It like a ghost town when you go out now days day & night..:(

Christmas time kids use to get bicycles for chrismtas and you see 100's of them all riding around on there new bikes with there friends...
Now they get ipads for Christmas and just sit at home sending messages to there friends on facebook..

The internet is an amazing, almost boundless, addition to everyday life. Of course there are some negative aspects to it, as there are to many things, but the positive facets far, far outweigh them.

To address your example, if high street retail units do not offer the ease and economy of online shops then they have very little reasons to remain extant. Consumers don't owe bricks and mortar shops their existence.

Yes. It's a pedophiles fairground.

Also go on any forum and you'll see people in engaging in these slanging matches, whereby the goal is to insult the person above more than they can insult you. It's pretty childish. I've also seen some very sick comments on the internet, esp' in regards to dead people. It says a lot about everyday people though, really.

I say no, not in the slightest.

The only people who are worse of now are those that hate change/are unable to adapt.

********. The internet is not at fault for this, it's lazy parents who do not want to actually rear their children. The same rebuttal t was used for television when children were supposedly playing out, now it's the internet/computer games. The internets has infinitely more pros than it does cons so it's a moot point to make.

Im glad i grew up pre-internet in my teenage years... I would have been a lifeless gaming geek, , i would have started too early and missed out on years of mindless teenage drug and alcohol fueled revelry.

I remember doing school science homework and going to the library to look stuff up in the Encyclopedia Britannica ? Seriously can you imagine kids doing that today ?

That says more of a impulsive personality and lack of willpower than anything else, tbh.

So pre-internet there were no, or not as many paedophiles. Evidence please?

As for people ****ging each other off, yes that goes on a lot on the internet, and I would imagine the keyboard warriors tend not to be the type that would not argue face to face. BUT its easy to avoid and ignore so really not a problem.

I regularly talk to people all over the country and have got to know some others from abroad as well who I would never have known without the internet. Plus no internet, no online gaming. Thread answered :D
