Looking for the best set over over head headphone I can for £150.

Need to be comfy, as will be used for long periods on flights etc. Have a pair of Sennheiser HD280Pro's currently, but not finding them comfy enough, so they are getting sold.

Needs to be wired, and closed back (do to use on flights etc)

All suggestions welcome :)

+1 for AKG k550. Great phones, comfy and closed back. I want a pair.
Can be found for £170~ at the rainforest.

headphone Graphs ah-d1100 and akg k550

taking into account 3 main aspects. Frequency response, Harmonic distortion and Square wave response 50hz those AKG look quite nice for the price range, compared to the Denon ah-d600 graph.

The best headphones "you" can get is based on what you want them to sound like. Those AKG seem quite balanced.

This is probably the best first post I have seen on these forums! Cheers buddy!

Rossi - cheers. £149 seems common online, but many out of stock :(

if you wanted to "buy it now" i saw them listed in stock for 147.99 including P&P. They seem like very good sounding, yet balanced (not bass or top heavy) that can benefit from a quality audio source (Xonor D2X example). Guess you can find a few reviews regarding comfort and build quality to satisfy any questions in that area. The price seems fair.

Pretty interesting read:
