I have a ATI 7850 , so am good to go for 3D?

Subjective, there's advantages to both.
3D Vision supports more games too, older games such as Rome Total War would run in 3D Vision, but won't run in Tridef.

Im currently using my 7950 alongside a Optoma 67N projector and stereoscopic player. It works a treat! Just needed some cheap DLP glass's off the bay and i was good to go. :D

Dont projectors only support pc gaming at 720p @60 though? (PC gaming) am looking to buy a Benq W1070 projector and thats the max I think it supports "PC gaming" wise

Hi,

I think it's the same as the hdtv's which is what I'm using (50" st50).

I believe amd cards run 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps.

I'm not sure if there is any dual dvi projectors out there but if there is they would be your best chance of getting 1080p 3d 60ps but you would have to double check that with some projector owners as I never had one.

I have an nvidia card with prefers to run 720p 60fps which sounds bad
BUT I have now had a few months to test out my 3d and can safely say that 720p 60fps is by far the best 3d I have seen.
I play sleeping dogs extreme settings 720p 3d 60fps on my 660ti and the 3d depth and popout is better than any 3d I have seen anywhere including my bluerays.

I originally thought 720p 3d would suck but the more I used the more I like it :)

Hi...
That card would be fine...I currently have a 5850 and play 3d blurays no probs...games run at 1080/24 or 720/60...still tinkering but impressed so far and shortly upgrading to a 7950...just seeing which would be best for my case in regards of power and heat!
I use total media theatre for 3d movies and tridef...which is half price if bought ATI card!
There was a site I read which went into great detail on games in 3d with both nvidea and AMD...outcome was that it depended on what games you wanted...both cards faulted on different games and some excelled on others...tridef seems great for what I have tried so far;-)

The optoma 67N is done over DLP-Link @ 120Hz, and i use iZ3D,stereoscopic player.

IZ3D is defunct now (AMD, IMO should have stepped in, made something their own for a change). Much better going for Tridef, as they're not dead.

Whats wrong with gaming at 10880 @24 ? would it be slow motion or something?

It'd be horrific.

I just use 3D for movies and this is what works well for me, 3D gaming doesnt really interest me. I may try Tridef if i have any problems in the future.
