I should have said both things in my original post, my grammar will be corrected now, I don't usually do that

Nice u-turn!
Also, you're/your
By the way, before I get judged I have never claimed anything in my life.
I would give it a few days see how you feel, if you're* fine then don't bother.
Are you currently, or are likely to be, financially at any loss as a result of the accident?
What a stupid question, yes he will be because as you kept repeating in the other insurance thread, he will be statistically more likely to be in an accident again therefore his premium will go up despite it not being his fault.
In theory, people should take the compensation to adjust for potential losses as its money they wont get back but it really isnt the way to do it.
You told me the other day you were waiting for money from your claim coming through.
Even if the other party completely admits fault, for the next 5 years your premium is likely to be higher as a result
you've also been paying higher premiums based on people taking what is essentially free money when they claim, your premiums have been priced as a result based on the expectation that you will do the same if you claim, this is a fact you cant get away from
So if it were me i think i probably would take the compo, even if you dont turn out to have any long term injury its possibly too early to know, dont think that just because you've been a decent person and not got the most out of your claim they are going to be decent people in exchange and not bump your premiums for 5 more years.
Do whatever you want!
You certainly don't need to justify yourself to a load of guys on overclockers forum who you don't know.
