Email has just stopped working on my iPad 2?

Hi all,

All of a sudden for no reason - email has stopped working on my iPad 2?

It stopped updating.

So I tried to add and remove the email account, but after going through the email setup - when i launch email - I just get a error 'connection to server failed'.?

.....anybody had anything like this?

should I try an IOS update or reset it etc..?

Have you checked to make sure the mail server isn't having issues? Assuming it is working:

- Close down the mail application
- In settings - Enable Airplane Mode
- Then, disable
- Open mail

ok - I will try that,

Mail Server - it's linked to my Hotmail - and hotmail (directly) works

My hotmail doesn't work on my note 2 as well.

Must be something wrong with the servers.

My hotmail's not working on my iPad either, so yes must be their end i guess

Ah, basically that lots of people don't have access to their hotmail at the moment.

I recall an Anonymous tweet about them taking it down. True or not, i couldn't say.

DAMN! - it's not working on my HTC phone either

..and I'm using the 'Hotmail' app!

What is going on??

Mine's working now

I tried everything on the iPad - even upgraded to IOS6 etc...

...tried adding and removing the email account many times.

But when I added the email account this morning - It worked

Must have been something on the Hotmail side...
