Congrats! It sure looks like a powerful system! When was this reviewed? There is a bit of a price difference in the article compared with the listed price :)

One in the article had x2 GTX 680's plus an OS so it was more expensive.

Prices do change though quite regularly so it is always hard to get a 100% accurate price out. The system was sent out early Dec and has just gone live today :)

you seem to forget the SSD and the OS.

Sigh

so infact the system reviewed is not the same and should NOT be said to be the same.

Im sure you could be done for false advertising here ocuk

Well then, You cant advertise it as the same as the one in the review, its simply not.

I'm sure trading standards would see my point aswell....

I agree that the system in the post isn't the system that won the award.... So it's a bit unfair for those who don't read the review.

Wrong.

For example BMW send their new 328i Coupe for review with Nav and leather seats. Car wins review, BMW advertises car as award winning.

Standard car comes with cloth seats and no nav.

Can you not see the system that was reviewed had optional extras?

System is un-changed unless were missing it somewhere.

CPU, Graphics, SSD are the same when configured that way.

What has been changed, is a larger HDD, faster memory. So the specification has being improved from the review system with the focus put on the negative points they had. The system is now better.

The review states: Street price: £2080 inc. VAT (At time of review)

At time of review being important, so the system works out now £25 more than it was a month ago, memory in particular has rocketed in price and even more so the system now features larger HDD and faster memory.

This system is as per the review. It is no different then a Audi S5 winning a review, that car like this system is configurable. Difference is here that the core components in this system are identical (CPU, MOBO, GFX etc) and the review states price of £2080, which this system can be confiured too to match the review system. Its a configurable system, just like a car is configurable. Vauxhall Corsa wins award, from £7995, model shown £11,500.

So unless I am missing something, I am failing to see your point, as such please make it clear as to why this is false advertising? The system now will only be marginally quicker, 1600MHz vs 1866MHz memory and more storage capacity, 1TB vs 2TB.

You Can not compare a PC to a car.

People out there will look at the computer, then read the review.. Then they will buy the pc and find its not as good as the reviewed one.

Cars Are Something that cost £10k+ new and cannot be used to compare.

In my eyes you need to have the spec listed on the REVIEW as the one with the silver award and have it able to be made cheaper.

Look at any other company who offer configurable pc's and send them off for reviews. Are you going to take all of them to Trading Standards?

I don't think anyone was trying to be deliberately misleading.

Probably an oversight which can easily be correctly by an edit to the OP if really necessary :)

But its not false advertising or miss-leading, like you suggest. Its a configurable PC which can be configured to be the same specification as the one in the review for pretty much the cost it was a month ago.

Why should it be cheaper, prices fluctuate, this is why the review states the price and places in brackets (at time of review) as they understand that concept. Prices go both up and down, they've gone up recently hence its slightly higher in price, next week it could be slightly lower, its a volatile market working on tight margins.

Object-wise, no. They are different objects. Specification wise, yes. Because systems and cars are configurable.

The system in the review does match, the reviewer even states the specification of the system, which is here:

http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/overclockers_uk_ultima_9550i_tyrannosaur_mkiii_review,2.html

Don't really see what the issue is really. All of our systems are as listed on the website and have options, and to go a step further we even give our customers an option to change them even more.

As for the review itself, I think it is a cracking review and the system is brilliant too, great components used and great performance you get for the money.
