I'm looking for some feeders regarding how to touch up my fittings.

No - I don't mean gently stroking them, I mean restoring the colour.

My problem is thus - I have boxes of fittings, which I'd like to make match, at least in terms of colour.

Is this simply a case of any automotive spray paint, or are there some tricks of the trade....?

Hi
I just took the o-rings off and sprayed them with halfords gloss black let them dry for a day then wacked them in the bottom of the oven on low for half hour.
They have been fine :)

Thanks guys. How do you then install them without breaking off the paint though? I've had a devil of a time retaining the finish on them - I'm having to use adjustable spanners and grips to tighten up the fittings and it ruins the finish! If they're only finger tight, they leak!
