Yet another US School shooting - 10/01/13

2 shot and assailant caught. I'm going to take a wild guess that this was a legally held gun involved and not by a criminal but by someone with a grudge (bullying, stolen boy/girl-friend etc).

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Gunfire erupted on Thursday at a California high school in inland Kern County, a sheriff's department dispatcher said, and media reports indicated two people had been shot and the assailant arrested.
The dispatcher confirmed the shooting at Taft Union High School but gave no other details.

A California ABC affiliate reported that sheriff's deputies were going room-by-room to secure the school and that two people had been shot, but had no immediate word on their condition. It said the shooter had been apprehended by police.

The station, 23ABC News, reported that some people had called the station from inside the school, where they were hiding in closets.

Not quite so bad this one thankfully as it seems not a huge number have been murdered. From what I gather it was 2 injured?

That said, this is still horrific, and condolences to the family.

Firstly lol Malevolence

Also to add a 33 yr old bloke was stabbed to death near where I live by 2 16 year olds. So time to ban teenagers... or knives, I haven't decided which side of the fence to be one yet. Actually sod it, ban teenagers and knives.

You can't use teenagers to do cooking.

I read somewhere it was targeted on one person but the shotgun led to collateral damage

Sounds like a targeted shooting to me

It's like it's a chain reaction going off, gun nutters going round shooting everything up! Maybe because it's happened a lot recently they think people will care less?
